Terms of Use
Last updated: June 12, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
OCPP Tools (ocpptools.renozix.com) is a free collection of browser-based developer tools and reference documentation for the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP), operated by Rodolfo Carrillo. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. The service
The site provides, free of charge and without registration:
- A Validator that checks OCPP frames against the official JSON Schemas.
- A Builder that generates well-formed OCPP messages from guided forms.
- A Simulator that lets your browser act as a Charge Point against a CSMS endpoint you provide.
- Reference pages and guides covering OCPP messages and concepts.
All tools run client-side in your browser. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time without notice.
3. Acceptable use — Simulator and network tools
The Simulator opens real WebSocket connections and sends real OCPP traffic from your browser to the endpoint you specify. You agree to:
- Connect only to systems you own, operate, or are explicitly authorized to test.
- Not use the tools to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to any third-party system.
- Comply with all laws and contracts that apply to you (including your agreements with CSMS providers).
You are solely responsible for the traffic generated from your device and for any consequences of connecting to a given endpoint.
4. No warranty — verify against the official specification
The tools and all reference content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
The documentation on this site is an independent, educational companion to OCPP — it is not the specification. For certification, compliance, or production decisions, always consult the official OCPP specifications published by the Open Charge Alliance. A frame that passes validation here is not a guarantee of interoperability with any particular CSMS or Charge Point.
5. Intellectual property and trademarks
The original content of this site (articles, guides, tool interfaces, and code) belongs to its author unless stated otherwise. You may link to any page and quote reasonable excerpts with attribution; you may not republish entire pages or present this content as your own.
OCPP and the OCPP specifications are published by the Open Charge Alliance (OCA). The JSON Schemas used by the Validator are part of the official OCPP releases and remain the property of their respective owners. This site is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Open Charge Alliance.
6. Advertising and third-party services
The site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense and relies on third-party infrastructure (GitHub Pages, Google Fonts). Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. External links are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for the content of linked sites. See our Privacy Policy for details on cookies and data handling.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of this site shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including lost profits, lost data, equipment damage, service interruptions, or failed certifications — arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site or its tools, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the site is to stop using it.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
